Caturday: The First Edition...

Let me start with this, unless otherwise noted, all the cats pictured are our pets. Having just said that, we DO NOT dress our cats in costumes, but there was this one time...

He wasn't happy!

This is usually what they're up to during the day...

Orangie...

He was a feral cat that had free run of the neighborhood. I provided him with an insulated box, out of the weather. It even had a small kennel heater in it. That winter was just too cold. He suffered some frostbite on one of his ears. That's when he finally gave in and began to accept human contact. He has NO desire to go outside in the cold! He's all better now...

  1. Congratulations on starting Caturday!

Poor Orangie. Not an unfamiliar situation for cats, sadly. But what a lucky kitty to have found you.

I've had cats before that are as wonderfully compatible as yours are, but the two I have now basically tolerate one another. But no touching! Ew! Of course, one cat weighs 18 lbs and the other one is 11 pounds and 5 years older, so she always runs away when he gets too close. He's too rough and heavy to play with!

Those are beautiful mackerel cats you have.

    1. Thanks, the 2 brown/tan cats are brothers and Orangie lets me know every day how happy he is to be an inside cat. The full time outside life is not a safe one up here.

  3. I love cat Saturdays. Keep them coming. Your first kitty does not look amused.

Makes me wish basil had a fluffy kitty to play with but he doesn't play well with others.

  4. The first pic is hilarious. You can really see that it isn't a happy camper in this outfit.

    1. I don't think he'd tolerate that any more. If he saw the costume he'd run.
